Governing Board’s Role The governing boards role is very important when it comes to discussing what is happening within a healthcare organization and making sure things are been done to their ethical standards. The primary role of governing boards is to make sure that the mission statement includes things that are needed from the public and to make sure that those people hired for this company are able to uphold to the ethnical code that is given by the healthcare organization. When issues arise within the organization, it is left up to the governing board themselves and the CEO to see how it would be best to address the situation before jumping to any type of conclusion. E very plan that is put in more requires way much more than just coming up with the plan, it requires that there is no steps left out of the final decision and that things are handled in the proper manner. Overall, the governing board has a great responsibility along with the CEO when it comes to handling things in an ethical manner. Key Performance Dimensions In order to make sure the healthcare organization is doing everything to provide the best care for their patients and that the facility is doing everything that they can to ensure that, some type of performance measurements need to be used. â€Å"Performance measurement systems employed in healthcare must be capable of not only meeting expectations of different stakeholder, but also of giving the most realistic image of the status and the progress that are being made to the system† (Doolen, Enami, 2015, pg. 427). By using performance measurements, the facility can see what they are doing wrong and in what ways they can improve service the patients next visit to ensure their voice was heard by the facility. The three measurements that can be used to see Middleville’s overall performance include daily patient log, patient
